About Laney

Laney Mills has been in the hair industry for over 23 years. She specializes in women’s razor and textured short cuts, gray coverage & blending, blonding, and hair makeovers! She is a retired salon owner of two award-winning salons, Milk & Honey Fine Salon (Best Salon for Adults ‘25, ‘24’, ‘22) and The Magnolia Salon (Best Salon for Adults ‘18, ‘19, ‘20) by Lexington Life and/or Lexington Chronicle, now doing what she loves most: hair. Laney was named Best Hairstylist by Lexington Life Magazine in 2018.

Laney has worked on-stage with Tabatha Coffee at Premier Beauty Orlando and has had models featured by L'anza Haircare, Sophisticates Hairstyle Guide and other online publications. She has trained nationwide with celebrity stylists including of Nick Arroyo or "What Not to Wear", Kim Vo of "Shear Genius", North American Stylist of the Year, Britt Dion, Beth Minardi, Sam Villa, Candy Shaw, Ryan Teal, Giovanni Scott, & Daniel Mason-Jones.

As a business owner, Laney participated in several salon business conferences such as Aveda Congress (2023) in Minneapolis, Serious Business (2024) in New Orleans, and Engage & Elevate in Atlanta (2024). She was the named expert for the hair salon industry in Lexington Neighbors from 2023-2025.

Laney lives in Prosperity with her sons, Ethan & Luke, and pug, Millie. When not at the salon, she enjoys traveling, performing arts, continued education, networking and most importantly, spending time with her family.
